Heroes not only do not die. Heroes and do not give up

Exactly a year ago, the Belarusian politician Maria Kolesnikova was arrested by the Belarusian authorities for, supposedly, an attempt to illegally cross the border. In fact, this happened after the security forces failed to violently expel Mary into the territory of Ukraine - right at the border point, she broke her passport. A couple of days later, her closest associate Maxim Sign was detained in Minsk. And on September 6, already this year, the metropolitan court found both guilty of an attempt to seize power and sentenced to a long term of imprisonment. Maria Kolesnikov by the age of 11, and Maxim the sign - by 10. Unexpected this court decision cannot be called in any way. Alexander Lukashenko consistently implements the program of the complete destruction of the Belarusian opposition. And neither the friendly condemnation of all people of goodwill, nor Western sanctions can interfere with this monstrous scenario. The Russian leadership, undoubtedly, approves this kind of policy.

The fact that after the suppression of the revolution, which was not able to turn around, despite all the prerequisites available, the frightened dictator will arrange a massive cruel terror in Belarus was completely obvious. Now Alexander Lukashenko takes revenge on everyone who forced him to survive heavy minutes of fear for his own fate. But there is another motive - cleaning the republic from dissenters and rebels, it conducts pre -sale preparation before the last phases of integration processes. So that Vladimir Vladimirovich, who, in fact, pays for this whole bloody festival, after some time, looking around his new possessions, would not reproach his younger political brother for preparing the asset poorly. Say, what is this happening here? Oppositionists in the country roam without a convoy ... So, no opposition in Belarus wobble anymore, they either left the country or sit behind bars. Putin was convincingly demonstrated that his money was not launched into the wind, that Lukashenko ordered them in a prime.

Already today, many experts spoke out in the sense that neither Maria Kolesnikova nor other representatives of the Belarusian opposition will serve their term. Either the dictator itself will put them in auction and get some significant concessions from the West in exchange for the freedom of these people, or Belarusian society will stir up the second wave of mass street protest and liberate the prisoners during the revolutionary process. I would really like to believe in any of these scenarios, but, frankly, the prerequisites for their implementation are not yet visible.

The political destinies of Maria Kolesnikova and Alexei Navalny are similar. Both at the key points of their opposition biography have made decisions that are not amenable to rational analysis. Navalny returned in Russia after an unsuccessful attempt to kill him and got into prison, and Kolesnikov was behind bars after she refused to leave Belarus. The voices of those who doubt the correctness and effectiveness of these solutions are constantly heard. Say, they would have brought more benefits in the wild, albeit being outside their countries. However, heroes are a very few and very specific breed of people. They live according to the led rules, relying on their own ideas about good and evil and even about effectiveness. Therefore, ordinary people, albeit full of good intentions, can be extremely difficult to evaluate their actions adequately. We have to wait for the result. But from history we know that sometimes in crisis situations it is heroism that becomes a strategy with which the tasks that seem unbearable are solved ...
