Criminal cases have been opened against Jehovah's Witnesses in Kamchatka and the Ivanovo region

In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a case was opened against a married couple for involvement in the activities of Jehovah's Witnesses (Part 1.1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code), and their apartment was searched. This is stated on the website of the Investigative Committee.

According to investigators, believers invited the 58-year-old woman and other people to join their community. To do this, the couple, according to the prosecution, arranged video conferences, during which they talked about religion.

During the search, security forces seized literature and equipment. Now the married couple is considered a suspect - the Investigative Committee website does not report that they have chosen a preventive measure.

Before this, Vasichkin and three other men were defendants in the case of organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
