The Uzlovsky city court of the Tula region imposed a fine of 4,000 rubles on civil activist Alexei Petrukhin under the article on the use of narcotic substances (part 1 of article 6.9 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), he himself told OVD-Info about this.
According to him, he was detained on September 2 in Uzlovaya at the opening of a monument to scouts. The event was attended by the governor of the Tula region, Alexei Dyumin, and the head of the foreign intelligence service, Sergei Naryshkin. The activist was not allowed to see the officials, and he shouted through the cordon “Give us better water, we don’t have water!”.
Petrukhin wanted to draw attention to the problems with water supply in the city.
The news has been corrected. Previously, it was erroneously reported that Petrukhin broke through the cordon.
