The prosecutor requested seven years in prison for Jehovah's Witness from Ufa, Anatoly Vilitkevich. Kommersant reports this.
The believer is accused of organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). According to the prosecution, he coordinated the activities of the Ufa community of Jehovah's Witnesses: he found premises for holding services, collected donations, and gave instructions to community members.
Vilitkevich was detained in April 2018. In June of the same year, he was transferred to house arrest, and in February 2019, he was released on his own recognizance.
