The source of the taiga.info called the possible place of the death of the head of the Ministry of Emergencies Evgeny Zinichev. He and director Alexander Melnik fell from the mountain on Lake Lama in the area of ​​the Putilen Putoran reserved plateau.

Lake Lama is located about 120 km from Norilsk and is one of the deepest in Russia. It is located in the northwestern part of the Putoran plateau. On its territory there is also a Putoran reserve, recognized by UNESCO as a monument of the World Heritage.

The source noted that Lama is a “local attraction”, to which high -ranking guests are regularly carried. Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations claimed that Zinichev died “in the performance of official duty, while in Norilsk on interagency exercises to protect the Arctic zone from emergency situations, saving a person’s life”.
