Viktor Filinkov, convicted in the Network case, was placed in a punishment cell for the fourth time in a row - he allegedly did not greet a prison officer. This was reported by his lawyer Evgenia Kulakova.

“I walk most of the day. From wall to wall or around the table. When my feet really start to hurt, I sit down (until my butt starts to hurt). During quarantine, you could see pigeons landing on the wire from the window. Their number reached 25. And in the punishment cell, from the window you can only count the number of bars separating me from the wall outside the window. Since this is a constant value, you quickly lose interest,” the lawyer reports Filinkov’s words.

Filinkov is located in IK-1, Orenburg region. In the summer of 2020, he was found guilty under the article on participation in the activities of a terrorist community (Part 2 of Article 205.4 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to seven years in a general regime colony. A criminal case about the “terrorist community “Network”” was opened in October 2017: according to the FSB, 11 young people in Penza and St. Petersburg were planning to overthrow the government.

Those accused in the Network case, including Filinkov, talked about psychological pressure, electric shock torture and weapons that FSB officers planted on them. Some of the convicts refused to confess and reported that they had given them under torture.
