The magistrate of precinct No. 422 of the Tagansky district of Moscow fined Facebook 21 million rubles, Twitter 5 million and Telegram 9 million for refusing to remove materials at the request of Roskomnadzor. Mediazona was informed about this in the Tagansky District Court.
The judge reviewed five protocols on Facebook , one on Twitter and two on Telegram (Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Administrative Code). The amount of fines for Facebook , according to TASS estimates , exceeded 90 million rubles, and for Twitter and Telegram - 45 and 35 million, respectively.
In March, Roskomnadzor began drawing up protocols on social networks - in addition to Facebook , Twitter and Telegram , these are also Instagram , TikTok, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and YouTube - since companies, at their request, did not delete or “did not promptly” delete information “involving teenagers" to participate in protests in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
