The Violence.net center and its director Anna Rivina were fined 400 thousand rubles under the law on “foreign agents”

The Perovsky District Court of Moscow imposed fines on the center and its leader Anna Rivina under the law on “foreign agents.” This was reported by the head of the international human rights group Agora, Pavel Chikov, with reference to lawyer Kirill Koroteev.

The organization was fined 300 thousand rubles, and Rivina - 100 thousand rubles under Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for the activities of a non-profit organization performing the functions of a “foreign agent”).

These protocols were drawn up due to the fact that, according to the Ministry of Justice, the Utopia website did not make the necessary markings. The editors of Utopia said that although they had previously prepared materials for the Nasiliyu.net website, even before Nasiliyu.net was included in the register of “foreign agents” they became a “separate”, “independent” publication.

After drawing up the protocol, they began to mention the status of “Violence.net” in their publications.
