Residents of the “DPR” with Russian citizenship will be able to go to vote in the Rostov region on 825 buses and 12 trains

The authorities of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic organized 825 bus and 12 train routes to the Rostov region so that residents who have Russian citizenship could vote in the elections to the State Duma. This, according to Interfax , was stated by the head of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin.

He said there would be simplified border controls for voters from the self-proclaimed republic who decided to go to vote in the Rostov region.

In July, the Central Election Commission announced that residents of the unrecognized Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics would also be able to vote remotely in the upcoming elections to the State Duma. To do this, they need a confirmed entry on the State Services portal. In general, remote voting is organized in seven regions: in Moscow, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, Yaroslavl, Murmansk regions and in Sevastopol.

Since the summer of 2019, points for issuing passports to residents of the "DNR" and "LNR" have been opened in the Rostov region. Prior to that, documents were collected centrally in their territories to obtain passports, after which the inhabitants of the republics were centrally brought to the Rostov region for personal receipt of documents.
