Two picketers were detained on Pushkin Square in Moscow

In Moscow, Anastasia Saprykina and Andrei Zhuravlev were detained on Pushkinskaya Square, who were holding solo pickets against United Russia. They themselves reported this to OVD-Info.

According to the police, the picketers violated the minimum distance of 50 meters. They were taken to the department for the Tverskoy district, where a lawyer from OVD-Info, Alexander Salamov, went to help.

• Since 2012, regional legislators have set a minimum distance between single pickets. If people with placards are located closer than the established N meters, the picket is considered massive, and therefore, prior approval from the authorities is required. According to the Federal Law on rallies, this distance cannot be more than 50 meters. In Moscow and many other regions, it is precisely the maximum possible 50 meters.
