A Rostov journalist was again arrested for 10 days for publishing the Smart Voting logo

The Proletarsky District Court of Rostov-on-Don again arrested Igor Khoroshilov, a journalist for the local publication Golos, for 10 days for publishing the Smart Voting logo. this TASS reports with reference to the press service of the courts of the Rostov region.

Khoroshilov was again found guilty of publicly displaying the symbols of extremist organizations (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code).

The journalist was first put under arrest on September 10 for reposting the Smart Voting emblem on Facebook. As his lawyer Evgeny Berkovich explained to Mediazona, the protocol stated that “Smart Voting” is a project that the Moscow City Court recognized as an extremist organization.
