The social network VKontakte has blocked the pages of at least five ex-coordinators of the regional network of Alexei Navalny’s headquarters. This was reported by the “Network Freedoms” telegram channel.
Andrei Prokudin, the former coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Tver, said that his page is hidden from users in Russia and is now accessible only using a VPN. He did not receive notifications about blocking from the administration of the social network.
Diana Rudakova, ex-coordinator of Navalny’s Tambov headquarters, announced that her page was blocked at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
In addition, the social network blocked the page of the ex-coordinator of Navalny’s headquarters in Kazan, Elvira Dmitrieva, who died in 2019. The pages of the former Rostov coordinator Ksenia Seredkina and the ex-coordinator in Khabarovsk Alexey Vorsin are also unavailable.
Earlier, at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, VKontakte blocked the page of the group “Apoliticality Ruins,” created by the former head of Navalny’s headquarters in Belgorod, Maxim Klimov.
- On July 28, Roskomnadzor also demanded that Lyubov Sobol’s Twitter account be blocked; on July 30, it demanded that YouTube block Lyubov Sobol’s and “Navalny LIVE” channels. Two days earlier, the department, by decision of the Prosecutor General’s Office, blocked Alexei Navalny’s website navalny.com and other resources of Navalny’s team. In addition, officials demanded that YouTube block the channels of three of Alexei Navalny’s associates - Georgy Alburov, Leonid Volkov and Vladimir Milov. The Prosecutor General’s Office also wants to block the YouTube account of the former head of Navalny’s Novosibirsk headquarters, Sergei Boyko.

- In March 2021, a criminal case was opened against the former coordinator of Navalny’s Khabarovsk headquarters, Alexey Vorsin, for repeated violations of the procedure for holding public events (Article 212.1 of the Criminal Code). He is under house arrest and the case is being considered in court.
