“Our beloved country, our Russia should belong to free, decent and responsible people. I am sure that it will be so, ” - Dmitry Medvedev, who ended his speech at the Congress of United Russia on September 24, 2011. Before that, he announced that Vladimir Putin was again nominated to the President of Russia from the party, and Medvedev himself would lead the list of United Russia and engage in work in the government.
Exactly 10 years have passed since then. Putin’s return to the post of head of state after the presidential term of Medvedev began to be called “screaming”, many analysts believe that it was with it that a new political cycle began, which ended with a new strengthening of authoritarianism in 2020.
