At the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the social network VKontakte blocked the accounts of ex-volunteers of Navalny’s Kaliningrad headquarters, Ivan Luzin and Ragnar Rein. This was reported by the publication Sever.Realii.
According to Luzin, at first he noticed that Rain’s account was blocked and then decided to check if his page was blocked. It turned out that it was blocked. Luzin himself can view his account, but other people cannot. However, on his page he did not find anything related to the activities of Alexei Navalny. “There are several posts about my elections, but what could be bad about them?” - Luzin is quoted as saying by Sever.Realii.
The activist plans to appeal the blocking and submit an application to the Prosecutor General's Office.
The press service of the social network stated ina conversation with Meduza that it “has already received two fines in the amount of 1.5 million rubles each for failure to remove calls for participation in rallies. Repeated violations may result in a fine of one-tenth of annual revenue.”
