The head of the Investigative Committee (IC), Alexander Bastrykin, proposed limiting the demonstration of cruelty, violence and "various manifestations of immorality" on federal television channels. this idea He expressed in an interview with the TASS agency, speaking about the shooting at Perm University.

“The connection between them [scenes of violence on television] and aggression has been proven long ago, as well as the impact of such broadcasts on crime among young people, the intellectual development of minors,” Bastrykin emphasized.

He added that young people also "throw headlong into social networks and computer games, completely forgetting about real life." It is necessary to strive to ensure that children and adolescents learn to distinguish “what is good and what is bad,” and this requires social advertising, promotion of a healthy lifestyle and sports, the head of the UK stated.

Bastrykin suggested other measures as well. In his opinion, it is necessary to continue the reform of the education system, strengthening its "educational potential", as well as "to take additional measures to protect young people from information that threatens their well-being, security and development." Another measure for the prevention of offenses should be the psychological testing of children, said the head of the IC.
