The founder and vocalist of the Status Quo group Alan Lancaster died
At the age of 72, the founder, bassist and vocalist of the British rock band Status quo Alan Lancaster died. This was announced by his friend, journalist Craig Bennett.
According to him, the musician died at home in Sydney surrounded by relatives. The journalist specified that Lancaster had multiple sclerosis - a chronic autoimmune disease of the nervous system.
In 1962, Lancaster founded Status Quo in London with his school friend Francis Rossi. Soon John Kuglan joined them. Lancaster participated in the records of 17 musical albums, 4 of which were headed by British charts. The most famous songs of the group are the version of the composition of the duet from the Netherlands in the Army Now, Down, Down, Rockin 'All Over the World.
Lancaster left the group in 1985. In 1999, he released the solo album of Life After Quo. In 2013-2014, the musician took part in the concert tour of the original Status Quo composition.
