The Federal Security Service reported on the detention in Ufa members of the ultra -right group, "preparing a terrorist attack on one of the objects of law enforcement agencies." The special service published a video in which the fighters are hacked to the apartment of the apartment, put their faces on the floor of two men and take out knives, axes, a machete and a “alphabet of sales” from the shelves of the wall cabinet. One of the employees leafing through a notebook with hand-rewritten quotes of the German political scientist Arthur Meller Van Den Bruka.
Having finished working in the apartment, the fighters go to the courtyard, where there are two cellophane bags. In one of them, a plastic bottle is visible.
“Five residents of Ufa born in 2001-2003 <...> at the addresses of their residence and in the cache equipped in an abandoned building were seized: ready for use of IVO [home-made explosive device], homemade explosives and components for its synthesis, nine units of cold weapons, instructions for the manufacture of explosive devices, as well as portraits of the leaders of the third Reich, nationalist S. Bandera, ”the FSB said.
The Investigative Committee instituted a criminal case against the detainees under the articles “Preparation for a terrorist act” (part 1 of article 30, part 1 of article 205 of the Criminal Code), “Passing training in order to carry out terrorist activities” (205.3 of the Criminal Code) and “illegal production of explosives or explosive devices” (223.1 of the Criminal Code).
At the disposal of Novaya Gazeta there is an mounted 19-year-old young man mounted of four fragments of an interrogation video, which is positioned as the organizer of the group.
“I am suspected that I gathered people around me, and conditionally ... It was stated that I am suspected of creating a terrorist group <...> at first when trying in the forest ... that is, there were no artisanal conditions, it was not possible to do it [apparently, we are talking about IVO] ... and then rent an apartment and already in a calm setting of laboratory ...”
The members of the group, according to investigators, went to the forest near the village of Mikhailovka eight kilometers from Ufa.
According to the side of protection, the situation does not just look different, it differs radically. Representing the interests of the detainee, whom the investigation is considered by the organizer of the group, the lawyer Roman Petrov said that the suspects were not Nazis, but were united on the basis of drug fighting: "They wanted to transfer to law enforcement agencies the data of those who sell prohibited substances."
Two years ago, according to the lawyer, a man who was now passing in the case with a witness came to his client, who was then 17 years old. “He invited the guys to learn how to make bombs,
He took out to play airsoft, but he did not work out to persuade them to extremism. After that, he announced the guys, ”the lawyer said.

In such an interpretation, the case of the “Ufa Nazis” becomes like the work of “new greatness”. It is still unknown directly in the materials of the criminal proceedings that connect the detainees with radical nationalists.
The detentions in Ufa, which, after the statement of the lawyer, obviously need to be studied in details, are interesting not only on their own. They quite fit into the current trend: over the past week, this is the second case of the detention of people whom the security forces position as ultra -right. And since the beginning of the year, at least 56 people in 16 cities have been detained on suspicion of involvement in Nazi groups. And far from always the accusations look unjustified.
So, for example, in the Kirov region, five people announced the attacks by the detained neo -Nazis. In Krasnoyarsk, where a group of Bonheads was detained four days before a special operation in Ufa, at least three beaten are known at least. According to Novaya Gazeta, a group that calls itself Sturmtruppen is actively operating in Moscow, and engaged in attacking informals and migrants.
Does this mean that in Russia the ultra -right raises their heads again?
It is difficult to answer this question unequivocally. If only because part of the reports of the detention of neo -Nazis looks doubtful. For example, the situation with the raids on members of the so -called group “Maniacs. The cult of the killers ”(MKU). The group began to sound in the media only this year, and only in connection with the mass detention of people allegedly involved in its activities. At the same time, the defenders detained in Voronezh and their defenders told Novaya Gazeta that they learned about their involvement in MKU only after detention from media reports.
In the case of Ufa, there is another dubious moment - the portrait of Stepan Bandera, which Russian nationalists rarely heroize, rarely heroize.
According to the director of the Center for "Owl" Alexander Verkhovsky, a certain increase in nationalist activity in Russia is now really observed.
- He, oddly enough, is associated with the disappearance of fear of persecution. At the end of the “zero” - the beginning of the “tenths” of radical nationalists who held street actions, including those who attacked people - were massively detained and sentenced to real terms. The authorities then outlined the line of permitted, showing that beating and murders are unacceptable. And then the lull came. For the current ultra -rights, those detentions are events of distant days, now they again grop out the line of permitted, ”he says.
The growth of the activity of radical nationalists became noticeable after the death in the Chelyabinsk pre-trial detention center No. 3 of the former leader of the neo-Nazi organization Format-18* Maxim Martsinkevich (Tesak).
- There really is a correlation. And it is known that promotions were held, reminiscent, for example, “Occupy-Pedophilay”, during which the participants said: “This is in memory of Maxim”. But still, the death of Tesak in itself cannot be a long-term factor in the growth of ultra-right mood. It rather determines something in the form of their manifestations.
Verkhovsky notes that the current level of Nazi sentiments in society is far from the level of the "zero".
-In order to get the scale of the ultra-right movement, which was, for example, in 2008, you need to cultivate the corresponding culture for decades, let the Natsi-Skinhed environment develop. But in recent years, radical nationalists were still in a crushed state. Those right -wing ones that adhere to safer methods of self -expression - like the same “male state” - will not go to radical actions in the bulk. Still secure is still a conscious choice.
The growth of ultra -right mood is always associated with social problems: first of all, with poverty, social insecurity, low level of education, which the leaders of nationalists in their speeches impose cultural differences. The FSB and the police can fight individual groups, but mass detentions should give a signal and higher: it is time to take on a social. Otherwise, we risk rejecting ten years ago again. Manezhka-2010 was hardly pleasant to the authorities.
