The Gulagu.net project announced the receipt of a “secret video archive of the special services” with recordings of torture and rape of prisoners

Representatives of the human rights project Gulagu.net removed from Russia a “secret video archive” of the special services, which includes recordings of torture and rape of prisoners in places of detention. This was stated by the founder of Gulagu.net Vladimir Osechkin.

The human rights activist called the incident “the biggest and loudest failure of the Russian special services.” According to him, the archive was provided by a programmer who, for five years, during his imprisonment, had access to the computers of the Federal Penitentiary Service in Saratov.

Independent human rights activists received more than 40 GB of video evidence of objective control, documents and photos, which prove that in the institutions of the FSIN there are Sonderkommandos of secret agents of the FSB and the FSIN, who, on the instructions of their curators, torture and rape prisoners, and the process itself is filmed on office video recorders, which are given to them for filming these tortures.

Osechkin promised to tell more about the contents of the archive later.

• The Gulagu.net project specializes in protecting the rights of prisoners and collecting data on the illegal actions of FSIN employees. In the summer of 2021, the project announced that it was suspending activities in Russia and moving employees abroad due to concerns for their safety - while noting that investigations would continue.
