Nord Stream 2 began to be filled with gas

The first string of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline began to be filled with gas. This was reported by the operator of the Nord Stream 2 project.

As the company explained, the thread will be gradually filled with gas to reach the volume and pressure required for further technical testing.

Start-up and commissioning work is currently underway on the second string of the gas pipeline.

At the same time, the Danish authorities reported that the gas pipeline operator had fulfilled all the necessary conditions for its commissioning.

• Nord Stream 2 runs along the bottom of the Baltic Sea from the Russian Ust-Luga to the German Greifswald. The capacity of the gas pipeline will be 55 billion cubic meters of fuel per year.
• The Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline will help Russia diversify its gas supplies to Europe, which now mostly go through Ukraine.
