The City Court of Miass arrested a 40-year-old homeless man who decided to dry socks at the Morchasting Mother memorial. The man was sent for two months in a pre -trial detention center, because, remaining free, he, according to the investigation, could hide.

The circumstances of the “crime” are as follows: on the night of September 29-30, frosts occurred in Miass, the temperature dropped to -2 ° C, and the man came to the eternal fire to warm up and dry the clothes. To strengthen the flame, he threw a wreath lying at the memorial. The incident hit the cameras of video surveillance, and the man was detained.

The police were ready to bring him a classic accusation for such cases under the article “Vandalism” (part 1 of article 214 of the Criminal Code), which provides for up to three months of arrest. But on September 30, the Investigative Committee suddenly became interested in business. “In the regional media, information was posted that unknown vandals had divorced a fire at the Eternal Flame memorial in the city of Miass. Employees of the internal affairs bodies at the scene were detained by a 40-year-old man without a specific place of residence involved in the commission of the deed. The investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Chelyabinsk Region initiated the issue of transferring materials on this fact from the internal affairs bodies for a pre -investigation verification, ”the SK said in a dry message.

As a result, the homeless was accused of a much heavier crime than vandalism - of the rehabilitation of Nazism.

Part 3 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code provides not for three months, but three years in prison.

At the same time, according to Znak.com, a man mentally unwell. And whether he intended, trying to dry socks on the memorial, to distribute “expressing a clear disrespect for society information about the days of military glory”, “to defile the symbols of military glory of Russia” or at least “deny the facts established by the verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the court and punish the main military criminals of the European countries of the axis,” the question is dubious. But the investigation considers it quite seriously.

If earlier, under the article on the “rehabilitation of Nazism”, they tried for stupidity - mainly teenagers who published photos of the Nazis in social networks and on the website of the “Immortal Regiment”, now they will also judge for life disorder. The investigative-sustainable system at the turn overtakes the system of social protection of the population and covers the functions: “Nowhere to live? Live in prison. "

This is not surprising: on September 30, on the same day when SK requested the case materials for the Miass homeless, the government submitted to the State Duma a draft federal budget for 2022–2024. The costs of social support of citizens (it is not only about helping homeless, but also about pensions, benefits, etc.) in 2022, according to an explanatory note, will be reduced by 371 billion rubles. But financing of power structures will increase by 415 billion.

Of course, in Russia there is not only the Criminal Code, but also the Federal Law “On the Prevention of Offenses”. This law states about the “elimination of the causes and conditions that contribute to the commission of offenses”, and the responsibilities of the authorities “to ensure the interaction of those in need of help with those who provide this assistance. And even - about the need to participate in the prevention of offenses of police and SK employees.

Employees of law enforcement agencies could well bring the homeless not to the pre -trial detention center, but to the Miass “complex of social adaptation of citizens”, that is, in a shelter. The townspeople say that he works well and accepts people, even despite the overflow. But in the shelter the detainee was not seen. For an unexplored business, after all, they do not give stars.

The Miass situation perfectly fits into the logic of returning to the USSR. Article 209 of the Criminal Code “Tramp” was canceled only on December 5, 1991 - people still remember that they can plant it. Moreover: part of society, it seems, may well not be against such landings - to recall only how Muscovites fought with a “overnight stay” for more than a year.

He beat the shop windows, molested women and stole someone else's umbrella. But he was not detained. And they detained at the moment when he decided to change his life and get help in the church - for nothing, for vagrancy.

Nobody suggested changing their life to Miassic homeless. Not wanting or not having the opportunity to help him socialize, the state pushes him into a correctional colony.
