“Our village is sliding into the Middle Ages”: a resident of Tavatui was called to the police after a complaint to Putin

A resident of the village of Tavatuy (Sverdlovsk region) Olga Putintseva was summoned to the police after a complaint to Vladimir Putin against the head of the settlement. It is reported by Znak.

On September 13, Putintseva sent a letter to the president, signed by 44 fellow villagers, complaining about the work of Oleg Sidorov, head of the Nevyansk Administration's Department of Settlements. The villagers said they were outraged by the activities of the official.

“We do not have any children's playgrounds in the village of Tavatuy. There are also no places for organizing leisure activities for young people and older people. There used to be a library, but now it's gone. Our village under the leadership of Sidorov Oleg Igorevich does not develop, but slides into the Middle Ages! Also, for many years the issue of evening lighting in the village of Tavatuy has not been resolved, only one lamp on Central Street is working! In dealing with the residents of Sidorov, Oleg Igorevich behaves unceremoniously and arbitrarily, often becomes personal, interferes in the personal lives of people who come to him for help. To criticism addressed to him, he replies that he should not consult with us and report to us. We believe that Oleg Igorevich Sidorov is not worthy to be the head of our village, ”Znak quotes the text of the letter to the president.

On September 26, Putintseva was summoned to the district police officer. It turned out that the official Oleg Sidorov, against whom the residents of Tavatuy complained, wrote a statement to the police about the commission of a crime against him - allegedly the letter contained slander (Article 128.1 of the Criminal Code).

“I testified that I described the real situation in our village. We have one lantern for everyone in the village, and this is a fact. There are also no playgrounds - also a fact. Other residents who signed the letter should be asked by the police if I forced them, ”Putintseva commented on the visit to the district police officer.
