Novgorod: Healthcare system works at the limit

The healthcare system of the Novgorod region works at the limit of capabilities, and the resuscitation of almost filling. This was announced by the governor of the region Andrei Nikitin in his video message.

In Veliky Novgorod and the region, the number of severe patients with coronavirus has doubled. The authorities did not exclude that the hospital of war veterans and district hospitals would transfer to patients with coronavirus.

We understand that the salvation of lives is in priority, but it is important to maintain the possibility of emergency hospitalization in key hospitals for patients with other diseases, ”said Nikitin.

Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Novgorod region, more than 44 thousand cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Starting from September, the daily number of cases has grown: in a month it has grown from 120 to 140 new sick every day.
