A Belgorod teenager became involved in a case of justifying terrorism because of a post about the Kazan and Perm shooters

In the Belgorod region, the Investigative Committee opened a case on public justification of terrorism (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code) against a 17-year-old teenager because of a post about Ilnaz Galyaviev who opened fire in Kazan and Timur Bekmansurov who attacked a university in Perm. This was reported by the press service of the department.

According to investigators, the teenager published a post on September 21. In addition to photographs of Bekmansurov and Galyaviev, it also contained photographs of automatic small arms. The security forces conducted a search at the teenager's place of residence, during which "objects of evidentiary value were confiscated."

The arrested teenager has already been charged. He faces up to seven years in prison.

Galyaviev opened fire in May at Kazan gymnasium No. 135, where he had previously studied. The young man was armed with a Hatsan ESCORT hunting rifle. Nine people were killed in the attack, most of them eighth graders. More than 20 people were injured.

On September 20, Bekmansurov entered the territory of Perm State National Research University, killed 6 people and wounded more than 40 with a legally purchased HUGLU 12/76 caliber rifle. The guard did not have time to press the panic button and was killed one of the first. The shooter was detained by junior lieutenant of the traffic police Konstantin Kalinin, who wounded Bekmansurov with a service weapon. The shooter himself was wounded, four days after the incident, the regional Ministry of Health reported that he had regained consciousness.
