• The head of the Alliance of Doctors, Anastasia Vasilyeva, was demanded to be sentenced to a year and eight months of restriction of freedom on a “sanitary matter.” She is accused of inciting violations of sanitary and epidemiological standards at a rally on January 23.
• “Soldiers' Mothers of St. Petersburg” refused to work with military personnel due to new bans from the FSB. Representatives of the project stated that these requirements actually prohibit writing about crimes committed in the army.
• In Cheboksary, employees of Center “E” detained the ex-head of Navalny’s local headquarters, Semyon Kochkin, because of publications about the politician’s projects. The detainee was left overnight in police custody pending trial.
• The court ordered The Insider editor-in-chief Roman Dobrokhotov to pay 156 thousand rubles according to the claim of the Dutch journalist Maximilian van der Werff. The latter accused Dobrokhotov of slander due to the publication in The Insider of data about van der Werff’s connection with the GRU and the Russian Ministry of Defense.
• Actionist Pavel Krisevichwas left in pre-trial detention. The court rejected the defense's appeal to extend the preventive measure. Krisevich is accused of hooliganism due to an action of solidarity with political prisoners.
• In Yekaterinburg, the court fined local resident Rafail Shepelev 10 thousand rubles, who came with an opposition poster to a picket of the pro-Kremlin National Liberation Movement. The man was found guilty under the article of protest.
• An elderly resident of the village of Gora in the Sverdlovsk region, Sergei Usoltsev, was upheld with a fine of 60 thousand under the article on “insulting the authorities.” An administrative case was opened due to a post criticizing the pension reform and “resetting” Putin’s terms.
• In Moscow, the court dismissed the case against local resident Daniil Gorbatov, whom the police tried to charge with participation in the April 21 rally. An arrest report was drawn up against the Muscovite due to recordings from city CCTV cameras. Gorbatov’s interests were defended by OVD-Info lawyer Ilya Utkin.
