On the 15th anniversary of the murder of Anna Politkovskaya in the garden of her named after the editorial office of “New”, everyone was able to plant tulips bulbs. There were many who wanted: Anna’s colleagues from different media, her children Vera and Ilya, the editor -in -chief of Echo of Moscow, Alexei Venediktov, deputy head of the American mission Bart Gorman with colleagues, adviser to the British embassy Tom Oppenheim, Polish Ambassador Kshishtof Kraevski, Ambassador of Latvia Maris Riverstins, advisers and diplomats of embassies of the Embassy of the Embassy, Sweden, Sweden, Sweden, Sweden, Sweden Lithuania, Norway, Germany, the head of the international "memorial" (recognized in our country by a foreign agent) Jan Rachinsky with associates Oleg Orlov and Alexander Cherkasov, teacher, poet Evgeny Bunimovich, numerous friends of the "new" and, of course, the most loyal readers who have reverently storing the memory of the Anna for 15 years now.

There was not enough only one person in the garden on this day - the mother of Anna, Raisa Alexandrovna Mazepa, who had left us last summer. She never waited for the day when the customers of the murder of her daughter were punished.

Ironically at the hours when we planted tulips in the Anin Garden, expired the statute of limitations for holding these same customers accountable. The deadline has expired automatically. Nobody found customers, as the new one has already written, all these 15 years. From the first day they were not going to look.

- The surname is known for the country's political leadership. But there is no political expediency of holding it accountable. And the customer ... The customer is deeply sure that nothing threatens him, ”our Sergey Sokolov, who had been conducting his own independent investigation, already at the guests at the office of Anna Stepanovna.

After the “Anina Garden”, all our friends, including ambassadors, moved to the editorial office of “New”, to the office of 307, in which Anna worked for several years and in which those who were desperate to find this help anywhere else went in a string during her lifetime. Almost nothing has changed there since October 2006. Here is her table, her “pot -bellied” computer (by today's standards, of course, antediluvian), her glasses, papers, letters of heroes with such seemingly simple, meaningless words in the “addressee” line - “to the editorial office of Novaya Gazeta, Anna Politkovskaya” ... only the walls changed. On one - portraits of those who are involved in her murder: convicted performers, accomplices, organizers. Under each portrait, a dry information certificate about each. On the second wall - excerpts from Anna’s articles, books written by her during her life, and books written about her after ...

What next? The editors intend to seek the resumption of the investigation into customers. This is a matter of honor for us.

And we are also waiting for the spring of 2022, when after the winter “hibernation” the tulips we planted in her garden will bloom. Red, pink, white. And they will blossom. Otherwise, in no way. She loved them.
