The court approved a six-year prison sentence for the leader of the Left Resistance, Daria Polyudova.

On October 7, the Military Court of Appeal in Vlasikha, near Moscow, upheld the sentence of the leader of the Left Resistance, Daria Polyudova, who was convicted under articles on justifying terrorism and extremism on the Internet for six years in a colony. This is stated in the Facebook group “Freedom to Darya Polyudova”.

As activist Valery Nadezhdin writes with reference to lawyer Leonid Solovyov, the term of imprisonment was left unchanged by the Polyudovoy court.

On May 31, Polyudova was found guilty on two counts: in connection with a repost on the VKontakte social network of a video about Aslan Maskhadov and Shamil Basayev (“justifying terrorism” on the Internet — Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code); and also because of statements about the actions of Yevgeny Manyurov, who on December 19, 2019 opened fire near the FSB building on Lubyanka (the investigation stated that Polyudova spoke about this publicly).

According to Mediazona , it was written in the indictment that Polyudova, in front of other passers-by, called the actions of Yevgeny Manyurov correct (“calls for extremist activity” - part 1 of article 280 of the Criminal Code). At first, this episode was qualified under the article on “public justification of terrorist activity” (part 1 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code), but later it was reclassified.

• The leader of the Left Resistance has been in custody since January 2020. On May 18, 2021, she went on a hunger strike, because hearings in her case are scheduled every day - because of this, the woman does not get enough sleep and cannot wash herself in the pre-trial detention center.
• Initially, Polyudova was also charged under the article on calls for separatism (part 2 of article 280.1 of the Criminal Code), but in February 2021 it became known that the prosecutor's office granted the defense's request to stop prosecution under this article due to its partial decriminalization.
• In 2014–2015, Polyudova was accused of inciting extremism and separatism. Then she was sentenced to two years in a colony-settlement.
