On October 6, bailiffs came to Sevastopol shelter for homeless animals. The FSSP employees were supposed to remove 14 hectares of land in the Balaklava district from someone else's illegal possession, which the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation considers its own. The executive sheets included the “illegal manager” of the Earth - LLC “Agroalans+”, an agricultural enterprise that received territories under Ukraine. But the bailiffs did not expect to see hundreds of sad homeless dogs, which have nowhere to go.
- They acted humanely and allowed the shelter to stay for a short time. Our volunteers are allowed to pass to the dogs, ”says Zoo activist Tatyana Bolshakova. - But how short this period will be is unknown, most likely, no more than a month. What then is incomprehensible. Of course, we will not throw dogs on the street, but we can bring them to the government of Sevastopol.
There are literally nowhere to bring dogs to volunteers: in the half -millionth city there is simply no other shelter.
In December last year, Governor Mikhail Podvozhaev promised to organize a new shelter in Sevastopol in which animals could vaccinate and sterilize, but in ten months the issue was never resolved. According to Tatyana Bolshakova, since the beginning of the year, sterilization and vaccination of homeless animals in Sevastopol is not carried out at all.
The head of the Department of City Economy, Yevgeny Gorlov, in a conversation with the New Gazeta, noted that the Department this year took a tender for organizing a shelter twelve times, but no one came to the competition. He could not answer the question of what exactly in Sevastopol would be built, he could not say that "there is a problem with the choice of land plots." To the remark of the correspondent of the “new” that the governor promised that the room would appear before the end of the year, the official replied: “Once the authorities demands, we will fulfill.” He estimated the preliminary cost of the project for a shelter for 250 dogs at 200 million rubles.

According to Tatyana Bolshakova, now the main task of the zoctivists is to sit down at the negotiating table with Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev and the head of the Department of Municipal Economy in order to move the resolution with the shelter from the dead point. Moreover, the environmental prosecutor’s office recently won the case in court against the subordinate to the department of the Park and Square enterprises, which has not been engaged in homeless animals since the beginning of the year. For nine months from the government, volunteers received 40 liters of diesel fuel and five hay bales as help, and the rest of the dogs paid all the rest.
Active discussion of the construction of a new shelter for homeless animals in Sevastopol began in December last year. Then, during the raid, the zoo defenders saw a terrible sight to the current shelter: in the in aviars in the middle of the blood puddle, dead dogs lay, some living individuals saw traces of carelessly conducted sterilization, there were no food or water in the bowls. The Governor of Razvozhaev then criticized the managers of the shelter, saying that they would never work with animals again. He also said that a typical project of a new shelter was selected.
However, after the resonance verse, the homeless dogs again turned out to be officials. Having survived the inhuman attitude of the previous leadership of the shelter, now they risk being left without a shelter at all.
