A Moscow City Duma deputy was fined 200 thousand rubles due to the people's gathering on September 20

The Tverskoy District Court fined Moscow City Duma deputy from the Communist Party Ekaterina Engalycheva for 200 thousand rubles under the article on violation of the “rally” legislation. This was reported in the telegram channel of the deputy.

Such a large fine can only be imposed under the 8th part of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (“repeated violation of the procedure for holding public events”). Engalycheva was charged with organizing a people's gathering on September 20 because of a Facebook post.

“The funny thing is that for the same post with the same link (all symbols are the same❗️) on Facebook, the Tver court already fined me 250,000 rubles last week for allegedly organizing a rally on September 25,” the deputy writes.

On the night of October 13, Engalycheva was detained because of the action for the freedom of Navalny on January 23, she is charged with a repeated violation of the rules of the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

• On September 20, on Pushkin Square in Moscow, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation held a rally against electoral fraud. There were no arrests at the action, but on the evening of September 23, the police began to massively come to the alleged participants in the event. The next day, September 24, rounds and detentions continued .
