The international society "Memorial" was again visited by the police. This was reported to OVD-Info in the information service of the organization.
Two employees of the Department for Economic Security and Anti-Corruption (formerly the Department for Combating Economic Crimes - OBEP) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came to Memorial. The security forces submitted a demand to submit to the Central District Administration by October 18 a lot of documents from the moment the organization was founded to the present. In addition, Yan Rachinsky, Chairman of the Board of Memorial, was summoned to testify.
- On the evening of October 14, unidentified persons broke into the building of the International Society "Memorial" at the screening of Agnieszka Holland's film "Garrett Jones", organized jointly with the Polish Cultural Center. A group of provocateurs ran onto the stage and stood in front of the screen, began to chant the slogans "Fascists" and "Shame on the Motherland." Later, the police arrived at the Memorial building - the security forces locked all the participants in the event inside and did not let them out for a long time, while preventing the lawyers who came to help the detainees from getting inside. At about 2:00 am on October 15, law enforcement officers left the building, removing the fire alarm and copying data from the video surveillance system.
