Rosstat today, October 15, announced the start of the All-Russian population census. It will run until November 14, and for the first time you can participate online.
The census was planned for 2020, but it was postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus and it was decided to conduct it not only in the traditional format (with the help of census takers), but also using technology, writes RIA Novosti . Access to the electronic census sheet can be obtained on the portal "Gosuslugi".
The collection of data in digital form will greatly facilitate their further transmission and processing, Rosstat explained. Therefore, census takers who traditionally walk around the house will also use tablets with a specially installed application. Another way to participate in the census is to visit the MFC or stationary census tracts.
The government predicted a reduction in Russia's population by 1 million people in two years against the backdrop of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The decline in the population will slow down significantly in 2023 - to 302.5 thousand people, and in 2024 - to 256.7 thousand people, follows from the approved Unified Plan.
