An environmental activist has disappeared in Ufa. His personal belongings were found in the forest belt

In Bashkortostan they have been looking for public activist Ilgam Yanberdin (Ilgam Vakhtovik) for a week now. An appeal from the activist’s associates appeared on social networks, declaring that his loved ones had not been able to contact him since October 11.

On October 17, passers-by discovered Yanberdin’s phone and personal belongings in a forested area of ​​the Ufa microdistrict Inors, near the place where the activist lived. The materials of the missing person case have been transferred to the criminal investigation department. This was reported by the publication “Idel.Realii”.

The day before his disappearance, Yanberdin told his associates about plans to attend a rally in defense of the monument to Salavat Yulaev in Ufa on October 11, at which about 10 people were detained . He never showed up at the protest.

Ilgam Yanberdin is known in Bashkortostan as an active participant in protests. Among them are rallies in defense of the Kushtau Shikhan and actions by supporters of Alexei Navalny. He was prosecuted for the January 2021 protests.

A court in Omsk made a similar decision - Daniil Chebykin and Nikita Konstantinov were considered the organizers of the actions on January 23 and 31 and were ordered to pay the Ministry of Internal Affairs more than one and a half million rubles.
• In June 2021, Ilgam Yanberdin was detained at a public gathering after beating environmental activist Ildar Yumagulov; the action took place on April 25 in Baymak. Yanberdin was later released from court. The case materials were sent back to the police for verification due to violations in the preparation of the protocol.
