Everyone is guilty because subjects

I learned about what sadism is when I was eight years old. In our pioneer camp "Chaika" near Pskov, where we, as October, arrived, there were several people from the orphanage. Our peers told us about what we, home children who had just finished second grade, did not know. Speaking briefly, then at the younger children in the orphanage, according to their stories, they constantly mocked and raped them in a way as it happens on recently published posts from a video archive, where they try to Russian prisoners. Something orphanage children not only told us, but also clearly shown each other during a quiet hour. Apparently, they believed that such an experience makes them adults.

They were already adults, and we are still children.

Then there was time to forget about sadism, but the army reminded of it with renewed vigor. Sadists looked like ordinary people. For some time they could behave quietly and imperceptibly, but then they certainly showed themselves - if they were not repulsed.

Not everyone was able to give such a rebuff. Moreover, the most cruel bullying took place not in public, but somewhere in dark caps or in a stoker. There was always a separate table for the "lowered" in the soldier's dining room. And the dishes for such soldiers stood out special-with some flower on an enameled circle.

All officers knew about this, but preferred not to notice. With the help of sadists, they ruled the unit. Both victims and rapists were kept "on the hook." Both those and others could be manipulated. So the informers recruited. So the executioners were grown. During duty, the officers closed in the officer room and went about their business, and the order was followed by those who, at best, were in Dysbat, in the worst in a crazy house.

Old -timers told how effective educational work was using electric current

Instead of officers, all black work was performed by the same old-arranging sadders instead of officers. And so it was until from distant Moscow to us to the Far North, an order came to start the struggle with "hazing relations." It quickly became clear that it is possible to manage the unit in another way, that is, without atrocities. For many it was a shock. How so? After all, it was believed that it was impossible to manage differently. Old-timers told how effective educational work was with the help of electric current (it was usually carried out in our diesel-electrical power station, three hundred meters from the barracks). And suddenly in a few months it became clear that it was not necessary to pass current through a person or use scrap. "Traditional values" were discarded as unnecessary. The combat effectiveness has strengthened.

But the relapses still happened. The desire to show its strength was stronger than the fear of punishment. In addition, some truly serious punishments did not wait.

The strength and violence in the heads of many people is the same. If you do not use violence, you are a weakness.

Our state has changed over the past century, but there are almost unchanged things. The suppression system works properly. In prison, in the barracks, in an orphanage ... Today it is well known that in the thirties and sorror years, the will of the most senior Soviet statesmen suppressed right in the Kremlin.

Stalin, for example, loved to mock his closest associates-communities. He also broke their will. The slightest manifestation of self -esteem was suppressed. It was convenient. On the one hand, it was a way of control, on the other hand, it was simply an opportunity to get moral satisfaction.

What morality, such and satisfaction.

Sophisticated bullying and total control are inseparable

The elder brother of Lazar Kaganovich Mikhail Kaganovich, is also not the last person in the state (ex-nark and a member of the Central Committee), shot himself under the threat of arrest. The wife of Vyacheslav Molotov Pauline Pearl was given five years of camps. The wife of Otto Kuusinen Aino spent more than 15 years in the camps, his son Esa was also sitting. The wife of Mikhail Kalinin Ekaterina Lorberg Dali Dali was 15 years old in camps (she served seven) ... And their high-ranking relatives, at that time, stood on the rostrum of the mausoleum and demonstratively smiled into their mustache, and their names were called cities. Sophisticated bullying and total control are inseparable.

Albert Camus in the play “Caligula” described a similar way to manage this: “People are dying, for they are guilty. They are guilty because they are Kaligula's subjects. Caligula's subjects are all. Therefore, everyone is to blame. Where does it follow, that everyone is dying. This is only a matter of time and patience.”

But the tyrant (home, barracks or state) does not stop there, and if it is not stopped, it goes on. It is not only about punishment, but also about the award. “This award is the Order of Civil Heroism,” the Camus play says. “ It will be received by those citizens who will be especially often attended by Kaligula’s public house. Citizens who have not been awarded for a year will be sent or executed.” Want to stay clean? It won't work. If it does not rape you, the rapist will force you to attend a brothel, tramples in the mud, humiliate, make it publicly approve of basement, put stigma, send it into exile. Otherwise, he will not receive satisfaction.

However, at some point, and this no longer brings satisfaction. Caligula at Camus explained that "tyrant is one who sacrifices to his desires and ideas." But since he no longer has any ideas and desires, he used power only "for the sake of compensation."

The status of an individual-foreigner is just a stigma. They say that such a status is absurd and idiocy. From the point of view of a normal person - yes. But this is also a way to complicate life, because you do not transplant everyone, and even more so you can’t kill. But to play on the nerves, to excommunicate from the profession, to punish material ... Why not? Everyone is guilty because subjects. If it is possible to show power in this way, then it will be used. Obtaining such a status is shielding. There was once such an execution. Entering in the list of foreign agents, of course, does not look so scary, but in fact it is also a way of public insulting and at the same time still defeat in rights. Do not forget that shielding was often only a prelude to more severe punishments.

Probably, it seems to the tyrants that they, by force, humiliating and shelmuya, show their strength. In fact, this is the most obvious proof of uncertainty and internal weakness. In a good way, they can’t manage them. We have to resort to extreme funds.

But the result in all cases is always alone. Ideas, if they were even exhausted. The house, built on violence and lies, is gradually destroyed. But it is destroyed earlier if many people around make it clear that they are not ready to be sacrificed. The rapists love meek victims.

If you put the rapist in its rightful place, then for a long time it will not last there.
