On October 18, the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Court announced the Internet Motion "Male State" with an extremist organization and banned its activities in Russia. Judge Anna Belova, who satisfied the corresponding claim of the prosecutor's office, made a decision within a few minutes, writes Mediazon . The defense of the founder of the "male state" Vladislav Pozdnyakov is going to appeal this decision.
The prosecutor’s office went to court due to the fact that the participants of the “male state” were engaged in “bullying, threats and the persecution of women,” the lawsuit said. Participants in the "male state" have repeatedly pursued women who meet with dark-skinned men, as well as female activists.
The materials of the prosecutor’s office noted that the founder of the movement of Vladislav Pozdnyakov in 2018 was sentenced to two years conditionally on charges of emitting hatred of women, and four supporters of the organization from Khabarovsk were sentenced to real terms of conclusion on charges of creating an extremist community. At the meeting, the prosecutor Roman Yashin said that the activities of the "male state" "is expressed in the distribution of information in the telegram channels in order to arouse hatred or enmity."
The prosecutor’s office demanded to block the three telegram channels related to the “male state”: this is the channel of Vladislav Pozdnyakov, already closed by the Telegram administration at the request of Apple and Google, the channel of the “Male State” and the side of the side project “Bottle”. In addition, six publics on VKontakte were mentioned in the lawsuit - presumably, regional groups of the “male state”.
The defense of Vladislav Pozdnyakova stated in court that the “male state” did not “depress someone”, and the women who were in persecution “discredited the male population.” Lawyer Dzambolat Gabaraev, representing the interests of Pozdnyakov, said that if there were any attacks on women, then only in social networks, but there were no real threats.
Gabaraev said that the “male state” was created to protect traditional foundations and values. “The ideology of this association is a continuation of common sense in a country where unconventional sexual relations will not be instilled in children,” Gabaraev said. Among other things, the lawyer said that Pozdnyakov did not manage the “male state”: allegedly he moved away from the leadership after the VKontakte administration blocked the movement community. Pozdnyakov himself earlier said that he doesn’t care about the lawsuit, because he "has not guided this brand for a year." Pozdnyakov did not participate in the meeting.
The lawyer asked the court to postpone the meeting, because he and Pozdnyakov could not study the case file, but the judge rejected this petition.
In court, they read out the certificate of the Center “E”, which described the “male state” as “a radical patriarchy, the purpose of which is a change in the constitutional system.” The document also said that the movement opposes the current political system and believes that the Russian authorities arrange the genocide of the male population.
In July, State Duma deputy Oksana Pushkin asked the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to verify the information of the Socialist Alternative that the “male state” has been cooperating with the ED center for more than 10 years. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that it did not find such a connection.
The prosecutor's office filed a lawsuit against the “male state” after a series of shares arranged by movement against different companies. The “male state” campaign against the network of Japanese restaurants “Tanuki” was mentioned as the examples of persecution. In August, Pozdnyakov called for attacking the network due to the fact that a photo with a black man, as well as a picture with a rainbow print, was published on her social networks, as on the flag of the LGBT community. Pozdnyakov demanded to delete the photo and called on the participants of the “male state” to make orders in “Tanuki” and not to pay, to arrange DDOS attacks on the network website, to write on social networks to its owner. The restaurant network refused to delete pictures and, in turn, called on its customers to complain about Poznnyakov in Roskomnadzor and the Ministry of Digital Development, as well as demand from the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov to block the Pozdnyakov channel.
Pozdnyakov connected the lawsuit of the Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor’s office against the “male state” with the campaign against “Tanuki”. He also said that behind the lawsuit there are "unclean police and prosecutors, who are fitting for the huckster and propagandists of LGBT." During the court session, October 18, Pozdnyakov called on supporters to make orders to Tanuki in Nizhny Novgorod with delivery to the court building.
The founder of Tanuki, restaurateur Alexander Orlov said on the air of the Rain television channel that the lawsuit of the Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor’s office became a “reaction” to appeals to various authorities. He also noted that the company “Zadolbala” by Apple and Google appeals, which achieved the blocking of the Pozdnyakov channel in Telegram. Orlov also promised to achieve the blocking of new resources of the “male state”.
Another victim of bullying by the “male state” - the Vyatka Kvass company - after a court decision announced its victory over the movement of Vladislav Pozdnyakov. Such a message appeared on the company's Instagram:
“Vyatka” Kvass defeated the “male state” ... Thanks to you, feeling your support, we found the strength to demand from the authorities to solve the problem with the “male state”. It succeeded, thank you!
