The authorities of St. Petersburg announced the introduction of a QR code system. They will be needed to visit cafes and shopping centers

Petersburg Vice Governor Boris Piotrovsky announced new anti-COVID restrictions that will come into effect in the city in the next month and a half.

The authorities of St. Petersburg recommended that employers transfer employees to remote work from November 1 to 3. Starting November 1, employees over 60 years of age who do not have a QR code on the full course of vaccination or who have had COVID-19 or a certificate of a medical exemption from vaccination must be transferred to a remote work mode. Since November 1, the number of mass events held without approval has been reduced from 75 to 40 people.

Petersburg will introduce QR codes required to visit shops, catering establishments, swimming pools, theaters, exhibitions and so on. From November 1, QR codes will be used to enter exhibitions and sporting events with more than 40 people.

Starting November 15, QR codes are needed in swimming pools, fitness centers, theaters, circuses, concert halls, cinemas, museums and exhibitions, as well as at marriage ceremonies in registry offices.

Starting December 1, QR codes will be used to enter public catering establishments (except industrial canteens, railway stations and airports), as well as retail facilities (except pharmacies, gas stations, grocery stores and shops without a service hall).
