The “Council of Citizens of the USSR” in the Krasnodar Territory is recognized as an extremist organization

The “Citizens of the USSR” cell in the Kubansky district of Krasnodar has been operating since 2019. In March 2021, the leader of the regional branch of “Citizens of the USSR” Marina Melikhova was sentenced to three and a half years in prison under the article on public calls on the Internet to carry out extremist activities (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code).
