On October 15, FSB officers involving riot police conducted mass searches from the participants in the Sturm project. This was reported on the page of the project on VKontakte, and several anonymous sources also spoke about the OVD-Info.
Presumably, the investigative actions took place in the houses of 30 young people, not all of them are members of the Sturm organization. During the search, the security forces seized phones and other equipment. After that, about 20 activists were detained, several of them were sent to a pre -trial detention center.
According to information from social networks, the participants in the movement are charged with an article on a terrorist act (Article 205 of the Criminal Code) - searches are associated with a criminal case initiated on the fact of firing at the Perm State National Research University (PGNIU) on September 20, 2021. On that day, Timur Bekmansurov came to the university with a gun and killed 6 people, another 40 were injured.
Supporters of the Sturma claim that Bekmansurov never took part in the project events and that they unconditionally condemn the terrorist attack that occurred at the University of Perm. They are convinced that the case against them is fabricated.
“There is a turning point in Russia, if before, to sit down, it was necessary to at least do something, like to participate in a rally or throw a glass in a riot police, now they will plant the most absurd and invented affairs,” the activists in social networks write.
