By 13.28 Moscow time, the RTS index rose to 1900.29 points (+1.2%), the Moscow Exchange index rose to 4270.11 points (+0.5%). By 13.55, the RTS index was 1898 points, the Moscow Exchange index - 4269 points.
The main Russian "chips" have risen in price within 2.3%. The shares of commodity companies leading the growth are Polyus (+2.3%), Norilsk Nickel (+2.3%), Alrosa (+1.6%), as well as AFK Sistema (+1, 3%).
In early October, Bloomberg called Russia the most attractive market for investment: according to the agency, the popularity of Russian stocks increased against the backdrop of rising energy prices and due to the country's financially strong position. Since the beginning of the second half of the year, profit forecasts for Russian companies for the coming year have grown by 14%.
Today, against the backdrop of market growth, the Russian currency is also strengthening: the dollar against the ruble for the first time since June 2020 fell below 71 rubles. Since the beginning of the year, the dollar has fallen by 4.4%.
