A court in St. Petersburg dismissed the cases of signature collectors for a candidate for the city Legislative Assembly

The magistrate of the court district No. 66 of St. Petersburg dismissed the cases of Ivan Pantileev and Denis Oikhberg, signature collectors in support of the candidate for deputy of the Legislative Assembly Savva Fedoseev. This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info, Yevgeny Kheifets, who represents the interests of activists in court.

The signature collectors were detained on July 15, they were charged with an article on violation of the rules for the production and distribution of campaign materials (Article 5.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

On July 21, the activists' cases were handed over to a justice of the peace, who fined them five thousand rubles. The Kirov Court overturned these decisions due to the lack of corpus delicti and again referred the cases to a justice of the peace. Justice of the peace and dismissed the cases of both activists on 20 October.
