The court in St. Petersburg dismissed the case for collecting signatures under the “rally” article

The Petrogradsky District Court of St. Petersburg terminated the proceedings on the case of violation of holding a public event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) against Maria Voyutskaya, the tweet reported. Apology of Protest

The court refused to recognize the collection of signatures as a public event.

The activist was detained near the Petrogradskaya metro station while collecting signatures in support of the candidate for the Legislative Assembly, Irina Fatyanova. The police charged Voyutskaya with a violation of the protest legislation and drew up a protocol. Voyutskaya's interests were represented by the Apology of Protest lawyer Luiza Magomedova.

Earlier it was reported that the justice of the peace in St. Petersburg stopped the cases of other signature collectors, Ivan Pantileev and Denis Oikhberg, who were charged with an article on violation of the rules for the production and distribution of campaign materials (Article 5.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
