The Khamovnichesky District Court of Moscow fined Maxim Chumychkin ten thousand rubles for participating in pickets against political repression and for fair elections. This was reported by a lawyer from OVD-Info Daria Aksenova, who defended Chumychkin in court.
The activist was found guilty under the article on violation of the rules for participation in the action (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
During pickets on Pushkinskaya Square on October 2, at least nine people were detained , including Chumychkin. Protocols were drawn up for them in three police departments: in Tverskoy, in Luzhniki and in Zamoskvorechye. Lawyers from OVD-Info Alexander Salamov, Nikita Petreev and Sergey Telnov came to the rescue.
