
The October Court of St. Petersburg returned the police a protocol in the case of an opera singer, the soloist of the Mariinsky Theater Viktor Korotich, who was previously harshly detained, pointing out the similarity with a person on the wanted list.
The court returned the materials against the artist to the compilers - to the first department of the police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Admiralty district of St. Petersburg, justifying the decision with the need to eliminate the shortcomings. The court, in particular, notes that the protocol does not record the use of physical strength, combat techniques and special equipment to the Korotich, which is reflected in the case file. There are also no documents that substantiate the legality of the requirements of the police to the artist.

According to the administrative article on disobedience, law enforcement officers, which Korotich was charged, was threatened with 15 days of arrest, Medusa notes (recognized by the media by the foreigner).
On October 17, a video appeared on the Internet with the story of Viktor Korotich about his detention. According to the artist, three police officers approached him on the street in the center of St. Petersburg and asked to show the documents, referring to the fact that the person allegedly similar to him is wanted. The singer was without documents and refused to go to the department. He says that he was afraid not to be in time for an evening performance. After that, according to Korotich, the police applied strength to him.
The protocol of the operatives presented to the court claims that, having seen police officers, Korotich changed the route and tried to avoid meeting. “In attempts to counteract the employees, he waved his hands, grabbed the policeman by the hands and uniform uniforms,” the united press service of city courts quoted the protocol.
