
The Syktyvkar City Court refused to establish paternity to a citizen of Austria in relation to the girls who were born in Russia under the program of surrogate motherhood. He will not be given the children to education. This was reported on the court website.
In July 2021, the Austrian asked the chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin to help him take out two daughters from Russia, who were born a year ago under the program of surrogate motherhood in St. Petersburg. He indicated that the mother took them to Syktyvkar and transferred them to the guardianship authorities. Children in July 2021 had no birth certificates and he cannot get documents to pick them up.
The Commissioner for the Rights of the Child to Komi Tatyana Kozlova reported that she took control of the situation.
