The Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg ordered the HOA of the house at 11 Mayakovsky Street, to remove graffiti with the image of the writer Daniil Harms, who lived in this house for 15 years. This was reported by the press service of the city courts.
HOA is obliged to do this within one month.

Graffiti on house number 11 on Mayakovsky Street appeared in February 2016. He was made by artists Pasha Kas and Pavel Mokich. Graffiti has become popular among residents of the city and tourists.
Later, two St. Petersburg journalists complained about the image, after which the district administration filed a lawsuit demanding it. The residents of the house opposed: a petition demanding to preserve and legitimize the portrait of Harms signed more than 1,100 people. According to the authors of the appeal, the image is fully consistent with the architectural appearance of St. Petersburg. Georgy Poltavchenko, who then held the post of governor of St. Petersburg, also advocated the preservation of the portrait. Despite this, the administration’s lawsuit went to court in April 2021.
