Screenwriter of the TV series “Slave Isaura” Gilberto Braga dies

Screenwriter Gilberto Braga has died in Brazil at the age of 75. This was reported by G1 Globo with reference to his nephew, journalist Bernardo Araujo.

Last week, Braga was hospitalized due to internal diseases. He died on October 26 from sepsis.

Gilberto Braga wrote scripts for Brazilian TV series. He was the author of the script for the series “Slave Isaura,” which was successfully shown in the USSR in the late 1980s.

Braga’s other works include the TV series “Day Dance Club” (1978), “Everything Is Permitted” (1988) and “Side by Side” (2012-2013), for which the screenwriter received an Emmy Award. His most recent series was Babylon, released in 2015.
