Petersburg: The head of the Chechnya representative office was sent under house arrest

The court in St. Petersburg sent under house arrest the head of Chechnya’s representative office in the North-Western Federal District of Islam Hizriev. He was accused of storing drugs. This was reported by the United press service of the city courts.

The investigation asked to conclude Hizriev into custody, the court refused, motivating this by the fact that the accused has 5 minor children, a disabled spouse and a disabled mother, is the only breadwinner, lives at the place of registration, is employed, has a constant legal source of income.

Hizriev was detained on October 27. According to investigators, he illegally kept with him, without a sales purpose, about three grams of the "drug mixture" with Mephedron. According to 47news, the remains of substances were found in the detainee's blood. He denies guilt.
