The Ministry of Health will allow the use of Sputnik Light only for revaccination

The Sputnik Light vaccine will be used in Russia only for re-vaccination. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko.

According to Murashko, the corresponding changes will be made to the methodological recommendations on October 30.

This decision, the minister noted, is due to the wide spread of the delta strain.

• Sputnik Light is the only drug registered in Russia that requires only one injection for vaccination. It is the first component of the Sputnik V two-component vaccine.
• In addition to Sputnik Light, Sputnik V, KoviVac and EpiVacKorona are registered in Russia.
