Participants in an action in memory of victims of political repression were detained and already released in Ivanovo

In Ivanovo, after a rally in memory of the victims of political repressions, the police handed over to its participants, Sergei Rimsky and Andrei Avtoneev, an obligation to appear for the preparation of a protocol. Rimsky himself told OVD-Info about this.

Avtoneev was taken to the Frunzensky department and there he was given an obligation to appear for the preparation of the protocol on November 1, and before that he was threatened to be left in the department for 48 hours. Rimsky was handed the document right at the place of detention.

The activists are going to be charged with an article on violation of the rules for organizing a public event (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

• On May 22, the former policeman Sergei Rimsky was searched and interrogated under the article on insulting a representative of the authorities (Article 319 of the Criminal Code), on July 20 he was charged. The case was opened due to the fact that Rimsky allegedly spoke obscenely towards the police during his detention at a rally on April 21 in support of Alexei Navalny. On October 27, the prosecutor asked the court to sentence Rimsky to 200 hours of compulsory work.
