The defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir Red Guard case have their sentences confirmed

The Military Court of Appeal in Vlasikhe upheld the sentences against the defendants in the Red Guard case of Hizb ut-Tahrir - Rustem Emiruseinov, Arsen Abkhairov, Eskender Abdulganiev. This is reported by the publication "Krym.Realii".

Rustem Emiruseinov was found guilty under the article on organizing the activities of a terrorist organization (part 1 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code), Arsen Abkhairov and Eskender Abdulganiev were found guilty under the article on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code).

The court decided to send all three to a strict regime colony: Abdulganiev - for 12 years, Abkhairov - for 13, Emiruseinov - for 17. The believers will have to spend the first two years in prison.

• Rustem Emiruseinov, Eskender Abdulganiev and Arsen Abkhairov, defendants in the Red Guard case of Hizb ut-Tahrir, were detained in Crimea as a result of searches in February 2019. Since then, until the verdict, they were in jail.
• Hizb ut-Tahrir was recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. Its participants are accused and sentenced to real terms only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and recruited new participants. According to the information and analytical center "Sova", the party is recognized as a terrorist in Russia unlawfully.
