Four Russians, a Ukrainian citizen and an Uzbek citizen, detained in Turkey on suspicion of preparing an armed attack on Chechen oppositionists, were following orders from the adviser to the head of Chechnya and State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov . This was reported by Daily Sabah and CNN Turk , citing data from the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey (MIT).
According to Turkish intelligence, the detainees were planning to kill a Chechen dissident named Abdulhakim, who lives in Turkey and fought on the side of the Syrian opposition against the regime of Bashar al-Assad.
The leader of the suspects, the security services named Bislan Rasayev, who allegedly carried out orders from Delimkhanov and Kazbek Dukuzov . The latter, writes Daily Sabah, has been involved in four murders of Chechen dissidents in Europe since 2004.
According to MIT, Rasayev was planning to buy weapons and ammunition to be used in the assassinations from Abdul Abdullayev, who had previously been convicted of arms smuggling and ISIS membership.
