US law enforcement agencies arrested Russian political scientist and analyst Igor Danchenko, who was called one of the main sources of information for the "Trump dossier" about a possible collusion between the headquarters of the former US president and the Russian authorities.
Danchenko, according to The New York Times, was taken into custody following an investigation by Special Counsel John Durham. Durham's task was to investigate the circumstances of the secret services surveillance of Trump's headquarters during the presidential campaign. Durham was appointed to the post of special counsel by the Trump administration.
Update: Danchenko is accused of making false statements to the FBI, according to court documents .
